JUDAS PRIEST Spokesperson Defends Band's Producer Choice
March 24, 2004JUDAS PRIEST Management Co-ordinator Jayne Andrews has posted a statement on the group's web site defending the band's decision to work with producer Roy Z (HALFORD, HELLOWEEN, BRUCE DICKINSON) on their much-anticipated "reunion" album.
"I really cannot believe some of the comments that are being made [on the band's official 'Noticeboard']. Have those people who are making them ever produced an album? I mean would you even know where to begin!!
"Believe me Roy Z is doing a great job and don't forget — most important of all — the record is being co-produced with GLENN TIPTON AND K.K. DOWNING. They know better than anyone how to get the classic PRIEST sound — they always co-produced all of the classic PRIEST albums in the past!! Why don't those people who have nothing better to do than slag something off that they know nothing about wait until they hear the finished album? Then make your decision on whether it is good or not!!
"I'm sorry — but it does make me angry to read these ridiculous posts — but a BIG thank you to all the fans who are being supportive!! To those who aren't we don't tell you how to do your jobs so trust us to do ours correctly!!"
